Pre-thingy!
Elrond paused at the top of the stone staircase that lay at the edge of the slender walkway. Rocking back on his heals, the elf lord took in the sight before him curiously. Only a few yard away was the little half uruk that had become his charge, stark naked. The child was toddling towards the medium sized pond that held some interesting looking fish that were a gift to him and his family some weeks before. For a moment Elrond thought the child was going to fall into the water and so quickly started to make his way down to save the toddler, however he stopped on his third step down, one foot still on the previous step, and blinked slowly like a cat, his face blank as the child paused before the pond, and proceeded to pee in it. The child scrunched up his face in youthful glee as he relieved himself, then turned to run as fast as his little chubby legs could carry him. hed be darned if the elf lord caught and dressed him! Sighing with a deep chested sigh only one with a child could create, Elrond followed after the boy at a light trot, paying no mind to the looks he received from his fellows lingering nearby.

((other characters: Turin (too-rin)– dark haired warrior. Name meaning = victory. A little on the short side. Alagos (ahl-ah-gohse) – dark haired warrior. Name meaning = storm. A little brawny for an elf. Thandion (thahn-dee-on) – blond senior warrior. Name meaning = shield. Quiet, content. Castien (kah-stee-ehn) – Elrond's personal servant. Name meaning = tender. Very mother-hen like. Often gets mad at Elrond's sons for tracking in dirt. ))
The mist rolled lazily through the morning, as the chill in the air crept ever nearer the hearts of those that dwelt in the forest. The light that speckled through the tree tops pierced the ever repressive chill to flare the earth into warmth wherever it touched but it could do little more than that.
A squirrel, chattering quietly to itself peeked out from its home, nestled in a tall oak. Blinking its beady black hues into the pre-dawn it assessed it was not quite ready to depart from its warmth and thus retreated back to curl into itself for another hour or so until more life stirred in the forest below.
What the squirrel did not notice, however, where the lithe shapes that crept silently past, cloaked by not only their stealth and hoods, but with a grace no mortal possesses. The mist parted ever so slightly at their passing, held back by the fair beings inner glow that pushed forth towards the surface and encircled them like an aura.
Dark haired, and searching, one of the four beings stopped, lifting up one fisted hand to halt those behind. Turin glanced back at those that followed him. He was gifted the chance to lead the group to where he had sighted some deer the day before. This wasnt his first time acting as leader of the group, but it seemed like it when he was accompanied by two senior warriors; Glorfindel, and Thandion. In truth, no one was really the 'leader' of the group, although the senior warriors were often enough looked to as the guide for the younger elves.
((im going to be adding the story piece by piece, so please feel free to post your own comments, or if you find anything such as typos, or something confusing.))

Glorfindel stood still as the younger elf that was currently heading the group paused to think over his mental route. The golden haired warrior did not alert the younger elves ahead of him to the strong hoofed beasts hardly a full tree length ahead of them. Grey eyes met blue as Thandion glanced at Glorfindel, fully aware of the elf's thoughts and just as reluctant to reveal what they knew.
This was the younger ones chance to shine, and neither senior wanted to ruin it for them.
Before Turin could come to a conclusion on which way the deer had taken, the brush ahead of the group exploded as the beasts they had been hunting thundered in their direction, spooked by some unseen foe behind.
“Ai!” squealed the shortest of the group, for Turin had been the closest to their quarry. But now he spun on his heels, frantically trying to scramble out of the way before he could become well acquainted with the earth below, compliments of the hoofed deer. Flinging his bow in a startled fit as he was grabbed from behind by slender fingers, The dark haired warrior flailed cat-like as the deer flooded just inches under his feet. Glorfindel had nimbly jumped into the tree closest to them to avoid the stampede, only to get knocked in the face by Turin's bow as he flung it madly in a random direction as he panicked for an escape route. Inwardly sighing at the younger elf, the blond being had crouched upon the branch he had perched himself on and, fisting the back of Turin's clothing scruff, hoisted the small warrior up and out of the direct path of the deer.
For a moment after the forest quieted down, Turin hung limply, such as a flag would do after a hearty gust of wind, before he was rather abruptly dropped back to the ground.
Thandion, from his own perch in a tree, burst out laughing, his musical mirth not missed by any of the company. “What, may I ask, is so funny?” Turin stood, brushing leaves from himself, glowering at the offending laugher.
With an impish grin, Thandion turned to address the other in the group whom had fled a little further down the path the deer had created in hopes of bagging one. “any success?” he questioned. “I only managed to get one” answered Alagos. His eyes were downcast. “I missed the vitals by mere inches” he confessed.
Thandion clapped Alagos on the shoulder to draw his attention away from the ground. “Does it still live?” he questioned. His hues darted to the side, searching out Glorfindel's form as the blond rubbed his chin, sucking on his lower lip that had been split by Turin's frantic bow-fling. “Nay, I put it out as soon as I could.”
Thandion nodded quietly. “Very well then, shall we go collect it and return home?” the senior suddenly turned a taunting grin towards the twice-born. “I fear our dear Glorfindel might bleed out soon. That was a fine hit Turin.”
the small warrior flushed, recollecting his bow from the soft sponge of the forest floor. He hadnt meant to hit him. Walking past the stooping elf, Glorfindel gently thwacked the dark haired elf upside the head before stretching his stride to catch up with the two that were already walking back to where Alagos said his catch was laid.
